Glenda’s Obituary Glenda Irene Crossman, 84, of Pampa, passed away on March 13, 2019 in Pampa. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, March 15, 2019 at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Thacker Haynes of First United Methodist Church in McLean officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Glenda was born on April 13, 1934 in Samnorwood to Carrol and Lucille Laycock. Glenda attended school in Wheeler, graduating in the class of 1952. She married Paul Crossman, Jr. in 1954 and he preceded her in death in 1968.

She worked at Cabot Corporation as the office manager and retired in 1996 after 34 years of service. You could always find Glenda enjoying a cigarette and a glass of unsweet tea at her kitchen table. Many knew her as Grandma.

She liked to help others and had words of wisdom for anyone in need. She had many hobbies, which included painting, quilting, and collecting antiques. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Roxane Funderburk of Pampa; four granddaughters, Mollie Crossman and wife Amy, Julie Crossman, and Betsy Crossman, all of Pampa, and Shelley Conway and husband Rusty of Amarillo; seven great-grandchildren, Kenzi Johnson and Mason Crossman, both of Pampa, Marley Cook and Bane Conway, both of Amarillo, Zaiden Woodruff, Ashlynn Mulanax and Halie Mulanax, all of Pampa; a brother, Clyde Laycock of Pampa; two sisters, Anita Reeves of Wheeler and Carolyn Marchant of San Antonio; and by other extended family. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Brent Crossman in 2011; and her sister, Kay Laycock. Memorials can be made to PAWS, PO Box 2095, Pampa, TX 79066-2095.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Interim Hospice for the care of Grandma.
