Glenda Mararet Huffman, 74, passed away on May 19, 2019 in Candler, NC. Glenda was born February 27, 1945 to Joel Page Huffman and Georgia Vera Huffman nee Brooks. She earned her High School diploma and then worked at the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department until her retirement.

She is preceded in death by her brother, George (Sonny) Huffman, and sister Lunita Davis. Glenda is survived by her son, Don Blankenship II (Tammy) of NC; daughters Dawn Mercer (Keith R.), Cindy Mercer, and Brandi Dorlan(Keith D.) of NC; sisters Betty Howard, JoAnn Hyatt, and Merita Hyatt, all of NC; grandchildren Natasha Ammons (Ryan), Dennis Rogers (Levi), Amber Blankenship, Tristan Bishop, Anthony Dorlan(Andrea), and Dillon Dorlan of NC, Marissa, Damon, and Kayla Blankenship of Georgia, Asher Blankenship of NC, and Dakota Oliver of NC; and great-grandchildren Riley and Aubrey Soper, Myles Dorlan, Kaden, Gabe and Oliver Blankenship, Nahla Meade, and Millie Gigi. She will be loved and missed by those who knew her.

A service will be determined at a later date.
