GLINDA WOODS SOLLIEN was called home to our Lord June 22, 2018 following a brief illness. Born December 26, 1947 to John and Bonnie Woods in Vansant. Glinda was a devoted wife, mother and granny.

To all who knew her she was a caring individual who touched the lives of all who knew her. She married Scott Sollien in 1971 and raised two loving children. She was a graduate of Grundy High School and Clinch Valley College with a degree in teaching.

She cherished the time spent with her family and was happiest when with her grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents John and Bonnie Woods. She is survived by her husband of 47 years Scott Sollien.

Daughter Tanya Sollien. Son Eric Sollien and his wife Candy. Grandchildren Mason and Erica Sollien.

Sister Cathy Allen and husband Richard. Brothers, Sheldon Woods and wife Orpha. Leon Woods and his wife Rena.

Several nieces and nephews. ◦ Celebration of life service to be scheduled at a later date. You will never be forgotten.

That simply cannot be. As long as I am living I’ll carry you with me. Safely tucked within my heart your light will always shine; A glowing ember never stilled throughout the end of time.

No matter what the future brings, or what may lie ahead, I know that you will walk with me along the path I tread. So rest my angel, be at peace and let your soul fly free. One day I’ll join your glorious flight for all eternity.
