OBITUARY Gloria Ann Hooten September 1, 1942 – December 8, 2018 Gloria Hooten, 76, of Columbiana, AL, passed away December 8, 2018. She was born September 1, 1942 in Columbus, GA, the daughter of Ira and Sally (Lee) Mauldin. She married Merlyn Hooten on August 12, 1972 and he preceded her in death.

Gloria is survived by her son, Terry Reach of Alabaster, AL; stepdaughter, Diana (Mark) Scudder of Greensburg, IN; stepsons, Richard (Rose) Hooten of Osgood, IN, and Robert Hooten of Greensburg, IN; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Shirley Campbell; and stepson, Jon E. Hooten. Gloria attended Thompson High School.

She enjoyed Braves baseball, Auburn football, yard sales, fishing, and doing cross stitch. A Celebration of Gloria’s Life will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo) at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM, and burial will follow at Mt.

Era Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
