Gloria I. Skiver, 95, of Luna Pier, MI passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Lutheran Home of Monroe. She was born July 27, 1923 in Dillonvale, Ohio the daughter of Lenn E. and Ruth E. (Gerke) Dressel. She loved spending time with her family going to church, crocheting, camping and her dog.

She was a nurse’s aide for many years. She will be greatly missed by her girls, Willagene Prater, Grace (Wayne) Bressler, Gloria (Robert) Ellis, Jessie (Ed) Hopkins, Roberta (Mark) Kerchman; step-children: Darrell and Bonnie Skiver; 21 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Herman Skiver; son, Paul Balthazor; grandsons, James M. Woodward, Mark Kerchman, and Vance Popp; siblings: Edward Dressel and Olive Penman.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 3-7 p.m. at Foos Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy. , Clyde, and from 11:30 a.m. until a funeral service begins at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
