Gloria T Pisciotta, April 02, 1923 — June 21, 2018

Obituary for Gloria T. Pisciotta Gloria Theresa Pisciotta, 95, of Fredericksburg formerly of Springfield, Pa. , and Cherry Hill, N.J., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at her daughter’s home. Born in Philadelphia to the late Dominick and Theresa Lauria DeSantis, Gloria was married for 51 years to the late Vincent Joseph Pisciotta, MD.

In addition to volunteering for many years at West Jersey Hospital as a member of the Doctors’ Wives Auxiliary, Gloria was an avid bridge and solitaire player, a crossword puzzle devotee and a fabulous cook. She was the most gracious hostess, and she always gave generously of herself to those who needed her care. Family was the center of her life.

Always gentle and kind, she was beloved by all who knew her. Survivors include her daughter, Lynne McCay (Michael) of Fredericksburg; son Vincent J. Pisciotta Jr. (Marissa) of St. Augustine, Fla. ; sister Theresa DeSantis; brother Louis DeSantis (Joanne) of Springfield, Pa.

, grandsons Christopher McCay (Melissa), Gregory McCay (Adrienne), and David Pisciotta (Maria), granddaughter Christie Pisciotta, great-grandsons Nathaniel and Zander McCay; and great-granddaughter Madeline Pisciotta. Gloria was loved and esteemed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Anthony McCay, sisters Rita DeSantis and Florence Hannum (Robert); and brother Anthony DeSantis (Doris).

Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday 9:30 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 10:30 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church 136 Saxer Ave. Springfield.

Interment in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Gloria’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011, or to the Mary Washington Hospice, 2300 Fall Hill Ave, Fredericksburg, Va.
