GLORIA V. THOMPSON, 76, of Piedmont, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Born in Gadsden to Virgil J. and Evelyn Walls Wilemon, she was a truck driver for Osborn for several years. She was a member of Piedmont Congregational Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Thomas Wayne Thompson; daughter: Dawn Law; and grandson: Jeremy McCurdy. She is survived by her son: Michael Thompson; daughter: Katlyn McCurdy; grandsons: Jonathon (Jessica) McCurdy and Jake (Kristina) Burge; great grandsons: Tristan McCurdy and Zebulon McCurdy; great grand-daughter: Ashlynn Chapman; and brother: Patrick (Diane) Wilemon. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel with visitation Friday, February 9 from 6-8 PM.

Burial will be in Piedmont Memory Garden.
