Obituary for Gordon Lawrence Kelly Gordon Lawrence Kelly, 83, of Traverse City passed away Monday, July 23, 2018 at Munson Hospice House. Gordon was born in Detroit MI to the late Lawrence and Lillian (Rasinen) Kelly. He married Trudy Ann Neveu on June 26, 1987.

In his younger years Gordon worked for various auto companies in automotive design, including GM and most recently for Ford Motor Company. He worked for Ford for over 27 dedicated years. After retirement Gordon and Trudy moved to Lake City to the “little blue house on the hill” on Lake Missaukee.

He enjoyed many road trip adventures with Trudy traveling all over the US. Gordon loved watching sports. His favorites to follow were the Tigers, Lions and especially anything to do with the University of Michigan.

Gordon will be fondly remembered for his gentle, friendly, and easy-going personality. He was a supportive, loving dad and a dear grandfather. Gordon will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Surviving Gordon is his wife Trudy; children Brian Kelly, Brett Kelly, Bridgette Kelly, Lisa (Matt Knox) Kelly, Gordon Kelly Jr; step-son Scott (Kathy) Neveu; grandchildren Austin, Quinn, Rian, Cameron, Kelsey; sister Barbara Scully and many other loving family members and friends. Gordon is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Larry Scully. Private family graveside services will take place at the Lake City Cemetery at a later time.
