Gordon Ray Hyatt January 08, 1947 – January 26, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Gordon Ray Hyatt,”Cowpoke” 72 of Adamsville, TX died Saturday January 26, 2019 at his home. He was born January 8, 1947 in Blanco, TX to parents Rankin Hyatt and Raythene (Shahan) Hyatt. He grew up in Blanco area and moved to Burnet, TX in his teens.

Gordon attended Tarleton his freshman year and transferred to Texas A&M University and graduated with a Bachelor of Animal Science Degree. He was a cowboy and ranch foreman for many years at various Texas ranches. He later owned and operated Hyatt Feed and Supply in Adamsville.

Gordon also owned his own trucking company for many years. He was a member of Adamsville Baptist Church, Adamsville Fire Department and the NRA. Gordon served as Fire Chief at Adamsville for 33 years.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Hyatt Children; Glenn Hyatt (Carrie) and their children, Bailey, Sarah, Jackie, Olivia Amanda Cox (Howard) and their children, Dustin, Jenna, Sean Deanna Atkinson (Matt) and their children, Kaylee, Jesse Andy Hyatt and his children, Alex, Justin, Marlee, Lane, Summer brother, Gary Hyatt (Kathy) sister, Teresa Kiker (Donnie) step-children, Rhonda Belanger (Shane)and child Heather Amber Edwards (Boyce) and their children, Hannah, Faith Travis Blakley (patricia) and their children, Tate, Harley, Rankin, Joseph Sister-in-law, Sherri Jo Roye Numerous nieces, nephews and friends Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, by great-grandson Reagan Levi Ervin. Funeral service will be Wednesday January 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Adamsville Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Hillsdale Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday night from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel.
