Nelda Jean Cox May 16, 1930 – January 08, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Nelda Jean Mullins Cox, 88 of Killeen, TX died January 8, 2019 at Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights. She was born May 16, 1930 in Burnet County, TX near Briggs the daughter of James Basey Mullins and Johnnie Marie (Isbell) Mullins. She graduated high school in Briggs in 1947.

She married Malford Edmiston Cox January 20, 1951 in Lampasas. Nelda worked as a teacher’s aide for KISD at Clifton Park Elementary. She retired after 20 years.

In her earlier career, she worked for Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator. She is survived by 2 sons; Jeff Cox of Hewitt Brent Cox of Killeen Daughter, Ginger Holland of Temple Grandchildren; Casey, James, Ashley, Brian, Marissa, Briana, Randall, Cresta, Candice. 18 great-grandchildren also Nelda was preceded in death by her parents, by husband, by infant brother James and by brothers, V.G. (Moon) Mullins and by twin brothers Joe Trendle and Richard Wrendle Mullins, and by sister, Mary Elwanda Baker.

Funeral service will be Saturday January 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon – 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
