Groves, 92 of Lampasas, Texas died Tuesday February 12, 2019 at Silver Creek Assisted Living. She was born November 7, 1926 in Coryell County, Texas to parents John Edwards and Jenny (Jackson) Edwards. Mary graduated from Gatesville High and Jackson Business College.

She later married William A. (Billy) Groves in 1942. Mary was a hard working Mother and a rancher on the family ranch that recorded the Z bar brand in 1876, a brand that is still currently used by the family. She was a member of Adamsville Baptist Church.

Mary loved to waltz. She is survived by 2 daughters; Charlotte Groves McMillan Shirley Stringer 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband Billy and her son Grady. Funeral service will be Saturday February 16, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel.

Burial will follow in Groves Z bar Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the charity of your choice.
