Mittie Ellen Fields March 29, 1927 – February 10, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Mittie Ellen Fields, 91 of Lampasas, Texas died Sunday February 10, 2019 at her home. She was born March 29, 1927 in Streetland, TX to parents John Bazelton Warren and Eliza Ellen (Brown) Warren. She married Jasper Mike Fields November 12, 1946 in El Paso, TX.

The family moved to Texas in 1974 and remained in this area since. She was a member of the Baptist Church and Life member of Lampasas VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She worked as a bartender, waitress, dispatcher for cab company, factory worker, drove a combine, all while raising a large family.

She is survived by children; Johnny Fields, Elizabeth (Lydie) Hamill, Bettie Fields, Ted Fields, Kenneth and Christy Fields, Nancy Falk, Charlie Fields, Bobby and Maryann Fields, Lynda and Billy Kirkham, Vonnie O’Keefe all of Lampasas, Debbie Wiles and Greg Gilseth of Kempner, David Fields and Bill Hackey of Longview, Don Fields of Taylor, Billy and Debbie Fields of Fort Collins, CO. Angela Magilke and Conan of Lampasas. 43 grandchildren, 90 great-grandchildren, 24 great great-grandchildren also survive.

Sister, Flora Heath and husband Tommy of Joshua Mittie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, by 2 brothers, Lawrence and Adrian Warren, by 5 sisters, Ireane Dodson, Jessale Browning, Blanch Brown, Vada White, Laura King, and by 3 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral service will be Saturday February 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel.
