Gordon Stuart a longtime resident of Tarrytown died May 2, 2018 in the New York State Veterans Home at the age of 94. Born in Tarrytown on March 13, 1924, he was the son of William Charles and Helen Florence Gurnett Stuart. Gordon was a graduate of Irvington High School and went on to earn a Master’s Degree.

He was an Industrial Arts Teacher in Mamaroneck High School for many years. Gordon served proudly in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946. He is survived by his daughters Janet Madalon, Norma Fleming and Leslee De Bois.

Also surviving are his 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Robert. Graveside services followed by military honors will be at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery on Saturday at 10:30 AM.
