Obituary for Grant Hyde Leedham Grant Hyde Leedham of Lake Dallas, Texas. Born February 10, 1997 in Plano, Texas, died on November 4th, 2018 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 21 after a courageous 7 year fight against autoimmune liver disease and associated issues. Our beloved son was a sweet young man, a good student in school and graduated high school with his class on stage despite having a liver transplant during his senior year.

While he had chronic medical issues, he did not want to be defined by them, or limited by them, and seldom talked about them. He was a good worker after graduating high school and we would like to thank Mike Truesdell and Phil Carbone for training and mentoring Grant on his chosen career path. During the last year of his life Grant found true love with Carrie Gallaher and her two sons, Jude and Caleb.

He was helping her to raise them and they loved him dearly and called him Daddy which warmed his soul. This was the greatest satisfaction and purpose he had in his short life. From all of us in Grant’s extended family— Thank you for giving us a high standard of courage to live by and for fighting for life for so long—as long as you did.

“We miss you dear Grant”. Grant is survived by his parents, Lance and Lee Pennie Leedham of Lake Dallas, Texas, the love of his life Carrie Gallaher and her sons Jude (3) and Caleb (1), of Lewisville, Texas, sister Brandi Leedham Erwin and husband Ryan and nephew Brandon and niece Mckenna of Las Vegas, Nevada, sister Kelly Johnson and husband Matt and niece Madelaine and nephew Andrew of Garland, Texas, his grammy Patty Wean, best friend Bishop Rogers, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation and reception will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 10am-12pm and the Funeral Service will begin at 12pm, both at Dalton & Son Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas.

Burial to take place immediately following the Funeral Service at Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas, Texas “Though the body is ultimately frail, this soul will be eternal”. We love you Champ! Upcoming Events Visitation NOV 10.
