Grant Robbins Skeen 73 passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Ogden Regional Hospital. Grant was born on September 5, 1945 in Logan, Utah a son of Ruth Robbins and Grant Gordon Skeen. His biological father died six weeks before Grant was born.

He was named after his father, but was raised by a wonderful man he would always call dad, William Dean Skanchy. Grant graduated from Logan High School and from Utah State University. He served in the East Central States Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Grant married his sweetheart Peggy Hansen on July 31, 1969 in the Logan Temple. He worked for Box Elder County for 35 years in Surveying and Engineering. Grant was a Hight Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He was involved in 4H, community and county actives in various capacities. Grant was very optimistic and happy and loved spending time with his family and friends, especially at Bear Lake. He was always willing to help friends and neighbors.

Surviving are his sweetheart Peggy; children: Jennifer Skeen, Corinne; Grant Wade Skeen, Layton; Emily Skeen (Scott) Anderson, Syracuse; Elizabeth Skeen (Dirk) Fertig, Corinne; Tad Skeen, Corinne; seven grandchildren: Lydia, Jonah, Sawyer, Elliott and Finley Anderson; Ryker and Levi Fertig. Also, siblings: Bruce Skeen, Malad, ID and Nay (MyHanh) Skanchy, South Ogden. Preceded in death by his parents and daughter Carolyn.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Corinne 1st Ward Chapel, 2325 N. 4000 W., Corinne, UT. Visitations will be Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City and on Friday from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be in the Corinne Cemetery.
