Gregory J. Messenger 72 of Warren, formerly of Akron, died Sunday, October 14, 2018. He was born June 1, 1946 in Akron, Ohio to Alten and Shirley (Wagner) Messenger. Mr. Messenger was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and had worked at Chrysler Corporation.

Survivors include his children John Messenger, Brenda (Jeff) Fisher, Edwin L. Dengg, Jayme Gordon, Crystal Messenger and Joshua Crane, 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, brother Mark (Jeannie) Messenger and his lifelong best friend Edwinia Messenger. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Gary and Patrick Messenger. Cremation has taken place.

A celebration of his life will be held from 6 – 9 PM Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the Streetsboro Eagles Club. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
