Ramirez Jr. was called home to be with the Lord on February 16, 2019 at the age of 79. He is preceded in death by his parents; Guadalupe & Fidela Ramirez, daughter Joann Martinez-Barber, brother Lucio Ramirez , sisters; Angelita Blancas and Irene Olivo. He is survived by his wife of 54 years; Mary Helen Ramirez, son Luis A. Herrera, daughters Rachel Herrera, Mary Lou Herrera, sisters Lucia Blancas (Cosme), Ines Ramirez, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Guadalupe was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. A mass will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 10:00AM at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church located at 1918 Palo Alto Rd. with interment to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
