OBITUARY Guinevere H Cochran July 5, 1932 – December 25, 2018 Guinevere H Cochran, age 86 passed away on Tuesday December 25, 2018. Guinevere was born July 5, 1922. Guinevere grew up in the South Carolina Tobacco Belt.

She attended school and graduated from Pamplico High School while working as a bookkeeper in a local store. She had three step-brothers and two step-sisters and two natural brothers while growing up. After her step-dad passed away, her mother remarried giving her two more step-brothers and one more step-sister.

Surviving of the above is one natural brother: Lester L. Jones of Charleston. Guinevere loved school and working. She joined the United States Air Force and served two years.

In 1959, she married Claude Baggett and had two children, a son, Jeffrey who died at age 33, and a daughter, Claudette Strothman(Tom) who lives in Tucson, Arizona. The marriage to Claude ended in 1969. In 1969, Guinevere met and feel in love with William Henry Cochran(Boe).

He had two children from a previous marriage, daughter Sara Rene Crocker(Mike), son, William Perry Cochran(Debbie). Married April 10, 1970, Guin and Bill adopted 2 children, daughter Sylvia Coleman(Ricky), son, Bruce Cochran. They have 7 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.

Bill was active duty Air Force and Guin was Civil Service. Together they worked, attended college and moved when orders came. They traveled as much as possible visiting 48 states.

The last two were visited after retirement. They settled in Marion in August 1980, built their home, educated their children, joined Siloam Baptist Church and made Marion a wonderful home. Her mother, Lorena Register, died July 2015 at Southland Nursing Home in Marion.

A funeral service for Guinevere will be held Monday, December 31, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Siloam Baptist Church, Marion, AL. A burial will occur Monday, December 31, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 HIGHWAY 119, MONTEVALLO, Alabama 35115-8632.
