Gurley Thomas Graves, age 76 of Cerro Gordo passed on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville. Final rites will be held at 3:0 p.m. Sunday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn with Reverend Jimmy Caines officiating. Interment will follow in the Graves Family Cemetery, Cerro Gordo.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until time of the service at Worthington Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maggie Graves; a son, Danny Williamson; four siblings, Ira Sealey, Margie Sullivan, Shelby Benson and Maudie Sealey. Survivors include his wife, Kitty Powell Graves of the home; Daughters, Katherine Ingram of Ash and Amelia G. Avant of Cerro Gordo; two sons.

Doug Williamson of Little River, SC and Shane Graves of Cerro Gordo; a sister, Betty G. Williamson of Okeechobee, FL; grandchildren, Devin Williamson, Britain Williamson, Zachary Graves and Sean Ingram.
