Prudie Strickland Waddell age 100, formerly of Cerro Gordo passed on July 2, 2018 at the Elizabethtown Nursing Center in Elizabethtown. Final rites will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Worthington Funeral Home with Richard Williamson officiating. Interment will follow in the Cherry Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Thursday (prior to the service) at the funeral home. She was the daughter of the late Alice Strickland and Vollie Strickland and was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Waddell; a son Jimmy Earl Waddell; siblings, Von Strickland, Valery Strickland, Velton Strickland, George Strickland, Robert “Happy” Strickland, Beamon Strickland and Susie S. Campany. She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Mildred W. Cummings of Fayetteville; sibling, Everette “Bubby” Strickland of Cerro Gordo; 5 grandchildren, Tracy Waddell, Ricky Waddell, Stacy Waddell, Laverne Redd and Joseph Redd, and several great-grandchildren.
