James Robert Bullard, age 86 of Tabor City passed on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Angel House in Whiteville. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Meares Cemetery, Fair Bluff. Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn is serving the family.

He was a veteran of the Korean War. He is the son of the late Retha Saunders Bullard and Alton Bullard and the husband of the late, Edna Hammond Bullard. Mr. Bullard was preceded in death by four siblings, Jimmy Bullard, George Bullard, Henry Bullard and Evelyn Stanley.

Survivors include his daughter, Melissa Bullard Doyle of Fayetteville; two brothers, Richard Bullard of Nichols, SC and Joe Bullard of Loris, SC.
