James Cody Stewart April 19, 1988-October 13, 2018. It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of James Cody Stewart, age 30, announce his passing on October 13, 2018. He was a much loved son, brother, uncle, and nephew.

Cody found joy in the simplicity of life, never met a stranger, and always had a hug to give. One of his greatest joys was found fishing on the water, where he often said was where his peace and happiness lie. He also loved to hunt.

He had a warm heart and kind soul. Cody will be greatly be missed by everyone that knew him. Cody is survived by his parents, Wanda Stewart and James Freddie Stewart; sister, Brandi Nobles; and young nephew Ty Nobles who all love him dearly.

Uncles and Aunts Carolyn and Kenneth Foley, Donna and Keith Godwin. Grandmother; Betty Jo Lewis; He will forever be missed and remembered by all cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Preston Hayes Lewis and Grandmother Nettie Lee Osborne.

Funeral arrangements will be handled by Worthington funeral home in Chadbourn, NC and will be announced later.
