Donald Mitchell “Mickey” Strickland, Sr. age 73 of Chadbourn went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville. Final rites will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Worthington Funeral with Reverend Danny Jeffers officiating. Interment will follow in China Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm Sunday until time of the service at Worthington Funeral Home. Mickey was a life time farmer in agricultural and pork production. He is the son of the late Carrie Wilson Strickland and Johnnie Malcolm Strickland and was also preceded in death by two siblings, Patsy Rivenbark and Johnnie Mack Strickland.

To cherish his memory, he leaves his wife of 53 years, Patricia Ann Nobles Strickland of the home; three children, Donald Mitchell Strickland, Jr. and his wife, Charlene of Delco, Amy S. Demaudesley and her husband, Ray of Ocean Isle Beach and Chanteau Strickland of Chadbourn; three siblings, Barbara Jean Nobles of Whiteville, Sue Strickland of Fair Bluff and Morris Strickland of Lake Waccamaw; three grandchildren, Kaylan Strickland, Kamy Strickland and Jayme-Ray Demaudesley.
