Guyton “Guy” Lindsey Turner, born April 23, 1949 in Wichita Falls, TX, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents Mary Ruth and Guyton Turner and his wife Marcia Frances Turner. He is survived by his son, Patrick Lindsey Turner and daughter-in-law Natalie Turner of Oklahoma City, OK, stepdaughter Amy Brock and her husband, Chad Brock of Savannah, Georgia as well as two granddaughters, numerous cousins and countless friends.

After graduating from Central State University and a brief stint in the Army, Guy pursued his passion in travel and tourism in Branson, MO working in management at Silver Dollar City. He returned to Oklahoma City to oversee operations at White Water (now known as White Water Bay) and went on to successfully open additional water theme parks across the region. Guy met and married Marcia in 1982 and they welcomed a son, Patrick in 1984.

Along the way, Guy discovered his passion for working with group travel and founded Turner Tours. With offices in Oklahoma City and Enid, he specialized in group tours for senior citizen centers across the state, often leading the tours himself. Guy relished being in front of a crowd telling a good story and a great deal of his success with his group tour business is attributed to his storytelling and his exceptional gift with people.

As the tour business blossomed, so did the opportunity to expand into the motorcoach sector. Friends would always enjoy a chuckle when Guy would walk into a room and exclaim, “Well, are we having fun yet? ” Guy will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
