Harold’s Obituary Harold E. Harpst Birch Run, MI Went to be with his Lord on Friday March 8, 2019 at Wellspring Lutheran Home; age 85 years. Harold was born on August 17, 1933 in Alma, MI to the late Floyd and Lillian Harpst. He was married to Eileen Brinkman on October 8, 1955 she survives him.

Harold honorably served in the United States Navy from July 1954 – July 1956. He was employed by General Motors Truck and Bus for 38 years until his retirement in 1988. Harold was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.

Surviving besides his wife Eileen are: 2 children Rodney (Debra) Harpst of Birch Run, Lynn Fuller of Cadillac MI. ; 5 grandchildren Jeremy (Meagan) Harpst, Jennifer Harpst, Grayson Fuller, Abbey Fuller, Joshua (Britainy) Harpst; 3 great grandchildren Austin, Charlotte and Landon; 1 sister Erma (Glen) Tanner and many nieces and nephews. Harold was preceded in death by a son Frederic Harpst; brothers Raymond Harpst, Homer Harpst, a baby brother; and a sister Donna Jean Dowd.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday March 12, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Reverend Shawn Fenske will officiate with cremation to follow. Harold’s family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at church on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
