Harold Leland Hande age 91, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 09, 2018 with his family at his side. Harold was born May 8, 1927 in Gardner, N. Dakota the son of Knute and Haranda (Toftosvnd) Hande. He proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Air Force.

Harold was united in marriage to the former Dorothy Freer on January 9, 1951 in Paw Paw, Michigan. Harold was a long-time member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Harold is survived by his loving wife; Dorothy, sons; Mark Hande, Joseph (LuAnn) Hande, daughters; Margaret Hande, Catherine Hande, Judith (Larry) Hande-Skutnick, Carolyn Hande and Barbara Hande, four grandchildren; Gayle, Amy, Chris and Jonathan, five great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

Harold was preceded in death by a grandson; David Hande and his brothers and sisters; Mary Carey, Ruth Bongers, Ether VanErkle, Agate Stantek and Nels Hande. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, Paw Paw, with Father Robert F. Creagan to officiate. Interment to follow in St. Mary Cemetery.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 6-8 PM at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw, with a Rosary service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will take place again Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider Reverence Hospice.
