Obituary for Harrison James “Jim” White III Harrison James “Jim” White, III, 48, husband of Elizabeth Ann Brunson White, died Saturday, January 12, 2019 at his home. Born April 29, 1970, in Salisbury, NC, he was a son of Harrison James White, Jr. and the late Ann Watts White. Mr. White was a member of Alice Drive Baptist Church.

He had served as an instructor at USC-Sumter and most recently at Francis Marion University. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Christina White; and his father all of Sumter; two uncles, Larry White of Columbia and Steve Watts (Carol) of Bishopville; and two aunts, Nancy Harward (Rick) of Highpoint, NC and Hazel Rhiner (Gene) of Sumter. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.

Dr. Clay Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Memorials may be made to the Alice Drive Baptist Church Open Door Fund, 1305 Loring Mill Rd, Sumter, SC 29150. Elmore-cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
