Harry M. Weisel, Jr., 87, of Duboistown, died Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Williamsport Home. Surviving is his loving wife of 67 years, Jane M. (Askey) Weisel. Born May 12, 1931 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Harry M. Weisel, Sr. and Florence M. (Pfirman) Weisel.

Harry was a graduate of South Williamsport High School and served his country in the US Navy. He worked as a Sales Supervisor at Stroehmann Bakeries for more than 20 years. Upon retirement, he took a position at Weis Markets helping stock shelves and work wherever he was needed.

He was a member of Hillview Baptist Church, the former Memorial Baptist Church where he was active throughout the years. Harry was a man of simple pleasures. He could often be found working in his yard, enjoying the outdoors at Pine Creek, and watching Steelers football.

Harry had a great sense of humor and was a master of one liners. Most of all, he was a devoted husband and family man who loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, surviving are two sons Scott M. Weisel (Lauralyn) of South Williamsport and Mark E. Weisel (Bernadette) of Williamsport; five grandchildren; Abbey Esparza (Jose) of Illinois, Fletcher Weisel (Makayla), Stacy Warner, Caralyn Weisel, Cameron Weisel, eight great-grandchildren; Arianna, Phoenix, Emerson, Nadia, Ramsey, Ana, Julian, and Jalen.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Rose Ellen Reas and Donna Carroll. A funeral service to honor the life of Harry will be held at 11a.m. Wednesday, March 6 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Williamsport. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Sanders.
