Obituary for Haskel Buck Harris Jr. Haskel Buck Harris Jr., age 91, a resident of Crandall, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in a Chattanooga Hospital. Mr. Harris was the son of the late Maggie Dockery Harris and Haskel Harris Sr. His sisters, Louise Ratcliff and Joann Green and his brothers, Ralph Harris and Eugene Dockery also preceded him in death. Mr. Harris was a U. S. Navy Veteran serving in the South Pacific during World War II.

He was retired from American Uniform with 25 years of service. He loved to play baseball and he was an avid Atlanta Braves Fan. He enjoyed the outdoors including fishing and riding his lawnmower and taking care of his yard.

Mr. Harris was a member of the Cisco Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Wanda L. Harris of Crandall, Georgia, his daughter, Nanette Harris-Newcom and her husband Bob of Atlanta, Georgia, his son, Curtis Harris and his wife Cathy of Franklin, Tennessee, his grandchildren, Mindy Harris Bryson and her husband Matthew, Abby Harris Owen and her husband Christopher, his great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Reagan and Aidan Bryson, Cameron and Parker Owen and several nieces and nephews also survive. The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Friday, June 29, 2018 at 11:00 A. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend David Evans and Dr. Rebecca Whaley officiating.

Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted Friday at 1:00 P. M. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with family and friends serving as casket bearers. Military honors will be given. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 11:00 A. M. Friday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
