Hassie Rose Ellender Carson, age 96, passed away November 17, 2018 at Brookside Senior Living. Ms. Carson was born on August 14, 1922 and resided in Habersham County her entire life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frenchman and Addie Nicholson Carson, sisters Stella Carson Pardue, Hazel Carson Loggins, Beulah Carson and brother Vaughn Carson.

Ms. Carson was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she was an active member of her Ascension Sunday School class. Ms. Carson retired from Habersham Mills Textiles after more than 40 years of service. She is survived by her brother, Jay Carson of Clarkesville and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Hillside Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church, P.O. Box 488, Clarkesville, GA 30523.
