Haywood’s Obituary Greensboro – Haywood Leroy Galloway departed this life on Tuesday evening, April 16, 2019. He was a native of Rockingham County and was a resident of Guilford County for the majority of his life. Mr. Galloway was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Class of 1963 and was a retiree of Olympic Products, Pleasant Garden.

Spiritually, he was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. His parents, Anna Bell Morehead Galloway and Aaron Galloway; siblings, J.B. Galloway, Shirley Benton, Aaron “Pete” Galloway and Irene Brown, preceded him in death. Survivors are: daughters, Agatha M. Grimes (John) and Chantay Parker; son, Haywood Galloway, Jr.; grandchildren, Jessica Leath (Antoine) and Danny J. Martin, Jr.; great-grandson, Antoine Leath, II; sister, Nannie B. Watson; brother, James B. Galloway, Sr. (Cheryl Renee); brother-in-law, James Benton; special and longtime friends, Mable P. Sims, Brenda Dawkins and the late Valerie A. Comer; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2019 from the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 9800 Highway 158 West with Rev. Danny Purcell presiding. The family visitation will be Monday from 12:30 until 1:00 p.m. at the church and may be contacted other times at 3207 Orange Street, Apartment D. His remains are in the care of Johnson & Sons.
