OBITUARY Hazel E Allen June 8, 1927 – December 30, 2018 Hazel E. Allen, age 91, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2018. She was born on June 8, 1927, in Detroit, the youngest child of the late Charles and Christina (O’Sullivan) Welch. She is survived by four of her six children, Christina Holmquist, Gerald “Jerry” Allen, Phillip Allen (Stephanie), and Kenneth Allen (Kathy); eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great great-grandsons.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Clark J. Allen; daughter, Margaret “Maggie” Allen; son, Charles Allen (Theresa); and grandson, Tell Allen. Hazel was an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church. At 50 years old, she graduated from Davenport College with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting.

She enjoyed camping, reading, arts and crafts, and spending time with friends and family. Please join the family in celebrating Hazel’s life at a visitation scheduled Wednesday, January 2, 2019, from 5-7pm at Reyers North Valley Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, January 3, 11:00am at St. Jude Catholic Church (1120 4 Mile Rd NE) with an additional hour visitation prior.

Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
