Hazel Jane Maertens March 25, 1932 – February 26, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Send Sympathy Card Hazel Jane Maertens, 86, of Kamuela, HI, died at the Salom Care Home in Hilo on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. She was born in Haina, HI on March 25, 1932 and was a retired State of Hawaii employee as the head housekeeper for the former Honokaa Hospital. She was also a member of the Imiola Congregational Church and the Waimea Senior Citizen’s Center.

Funeral arrangements are pending. She is survived by her: Daughters, Betty J. (Earl) Spence of Kamuela, HI and Mary Lou (Robert) Maertens of Pahoa, HI; Son, David J. (Jean) Maertens of Kamuela, HI; Sister, Mary (Joseph) Branco of Honokaa, HI; five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews.
