He was born in Hilo, Hawaii on January 2, 1955 and was the proprietor of the Family Mortgage Company of Hawaii, Inc. in Hilo, Hawaii. He was a member of the Aloha Exchange Club, Exchange Club of Hilo, Hilo Meishoin Buddhist Temple and Kuulei Community Association.

Visitation will be held at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo, Hawaii on June 8, 2019 (Saturday) from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Casual attire is requested. No flowers. He is survived by wife, Glocel S. Kimura of Hilo; sons, Jonathan Kimura of Hilo, Brandon Kimura of San Diego, California, Ryan (Kristina) Kimura of Orlando, Florida, Tait Kimura of Hilo and Chase Kimura of Hilo; sister, Darilyn Kimura of Hilo; three grandchildren; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.
