He was born in Seattle, Washington on August 30, 1948 and was a United States Army Veteran. He retired from Puna Certified Nursery as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.

Visitation will be held at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo, Hawaii on June 8, 2019 (Saturday) from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; funeral service will begin at 5:00 p.m. Casual attire is requested. Cremation will follow. He is survived by wife, Anita McStott of Keaau; daughters, Kristin Comstock of Everett, Washington, Nicol McStott of Stanwood, Washington, Kahealani Andrews of Hilo, Kamalani Andrews of Keaau and Kenisha McStott of Keaau; son, Joshua McStott of Marysville, Washington; sister-in-law, Adelfa (Nathan) Shafer of Ridgefield, Washington; three grandsons and four granddaughters; numerous nephews and nieces.
