Obituary for Hazel Morris Hazel Morris, 93, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, formerly of Dutton, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018. She was born on Sand Mountain, January 15, 1925 to the late Isaac Granvell Morris and Minnie Evett Morris. Mrs. Morris worked for many years in the hosiery industry both in Fort Payne and in Chattanooga.

She was of Baptist faith. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. (CST) Friday at Wilson Funeral Home with burial following in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m. (CST) The family is accepting flowers or memorial contributions may be made Chattanooga Hospice, Dunlap, Tennessee division.

She is survived by her daughters, Maxine Harcrow (Walt) of Calhoun, Georgia, LaVerna Tate (Donald) of Chatsworth, Georgia, and Elaine Thomas (Miles) of Ringold, Georgia; grandchildren Karen Jones, Donnie Tate, John Tate, Mark Tate, Tanya Hicks, David L. Williams, Jr., Dana Chester, and Landon Thomas; 19 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by grandsons Terry Lee Leatherwood, Jeffery Lynn Leatherwood, and Courtney Kipp Thomas, sisters, Margie Farris, Bertha Wigley, Rosie Morris, and Ovaline Morris, brother, Leonard Morris, and her parents. The family extends kindest thanks to the entire staff of Soddy Daisy Healthcare Center for their care and compassion.
