Hazel Murray’s Obituary MARION, VA Hazel Murray Lynch age 97 passed from this life to her Heavenly Home on Thursday May 9, 2019 at the Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion. Hazel was born on April 17, 1922 in War, WV to the late John Albert Murray, Sr. and Bertha Rice Murray. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband John Thomas Lynch; daughter Lillian Lynch Shuler; son Robert F. Lynch; brothers Willard M. Murray, John A. Murray, Jr, and Robert M. Murray; and sister Helen Gullion.

Hazel was a faithful Christian woman and truly stood for what she believed in. She was a dedicated charter member for over 60 years at the Marion Church of the Nazarene. There she was active in the church teaching the Children Sunday School classes.

She also babysat several of her nieces and nephews over the years, as well as her great grandchildren. She was a great mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed. Survivors include her eldest son John T. Lynch, Marion, VA; three grandchildren John P. Lynch, FL, Misty Dawn Williams, Las Vegas, NV, and Wendy Lynch Odham, Marion, VA; seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express a special Thanks to the doctors, nurse, and staff at the Francis Marion Manor, for the care given to Mrs. Lynch over the past four years. Also, to the staff at the Smyth County Community Hospital ER for everything they did to try to care for her. Funeral services will be held at 6:00PM on Sunday May 12, 2019 from the Bradley’s Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with Pastor Paul Shallenburg and Pastor Michael Paul Hopkins officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00PM on Sunday evening at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday at the Rose Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
