OBITUARY Hector “El Surdo” Isabel Gaitan December 13, 1942 – October 7, 2018 Hector Isabel “El Surdo” Gaitan entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 75. Hector was born on December 13, 1942 to Antonio Jimenez and Dominga Guajardo Jimenez in Bishop, Texas. He worked as Hunting Guide for the King Ranch for over 30 years until his retirement.
Hector loved golf as well as the Dallas Cowboys. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dominga; son, Juventino Longoria and brothers, Chon Gaitan and Joe Jimenez. He is survived by his wife, Alma R. Gaitan of Falfurrias, Texas; companion of over 32 years, Angelita Longoria of Falfurrias; seven sons, Noe Gaitan of Kingsville, Texas, Ivan Hector Gaitan of Houston, Texas, Patrick (Janet) Gaitan of Corpus Christi, Damian (Kelly) Gaitan of Cypress, Texas, Danny (Karla) Loredo of Robstown, Hector (Stephanie) Gaitan and Carlos Rodriguez both of Falfurrias; three daughters, Jessica (Xavier) Garza and Connie Loredo both of Falfurrias and Virginia (Jason) Reynado of Columbus, Georgia; step-father, Antonio Jimenez of Riviera, Texas; brother, Carlos (Monga) Jimenez of Riviera; sisters, Dora Gaitan of Riviera and Lupita (David) Mendez of Ricardo, Texas; 29 grandchildren, Ciara, Marisa, Makyla, Brittney, Patricia, Adriana, Alexis, Halley, Kaitlin, Jazzmin, Adriana, Danny Jr., Victor, Aliyah, Juventino, Ashley, Ana, Andrea, Adelina, John Jr., Jenna, Jolynn, Joseph, Sammy, Nicholas, Brianna, Hailene, Hannah and Hector Ryan; six great-grandchildren; his dog, Belle and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Riviera Cemetery in Riviera, Texas. FAMILY Wife, Alma R.
