Obituary for Hector L. Gonzalez Hector L. Gonzalez, age 52, of Elyria, passed away at his home on September 23, 2018 following a short illness. Born October 3, 1965 in Lorain, he graduated from Southview High School in 1984 and attended Heidelberg College. He has been a resident of Elyria for the past 30 years.

Hector worked for Glidden Paint in Huron as a supervisor. He was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel and enjoyed golfing and all Cleveland Sports. Surviving is his son, Christopher D. Gonzalez of North Ridgeville; a daughter, Tiffany (Carl) Smith of Elyria; his granddaughter and the love of his life and fishing partner, Paige Kohls; his mother, Carmen Dueńo Gonzalez of Lorain; his siblings, Jose M. “Pete” (Judy) of Amherst, Carlos (Partner Eddie) of San Francisco, CA, Nancy of Lorain, Angel A. “Tony” (Gina) of Lorain, Rafael (Heather) of Sheffield Township, Roberto “Bobby” (Kate) of Roseville, CA, and Christobal J. (Michelle) of Lorain; and many nephews and beautiful nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jose D. Gonzalez in 2009. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 – 9:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. The family will also receive friends on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of Mass at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain.

Rev. William Thaden, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
