Obituary for Heidi L. (Hatton) Kennedy Heidi Leigh (Hatton) Kennedy, age 56, of Dublin, Ohio passed away into her heavenly home on Friday, April 13, 2018 at home, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with a glioblastoma. Heidi was born in Bogotá, Colombia on January 11, 1962 to Robert and Marlene (Tuller) Hatton. Heidi was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin Hatton.
Heidi attended Beechcroft High School where she played in numerous sports, and then attended Capital University and graduated with a BA degree in education. Heidi’s greatest joy and accomplishment in life was her family, where she was a loving and godly example as a wife, mother, and grandmother. Heidi is survived by her parents, Robert and Marlene Hatton, loving husband of 35 years, Gillian Mark Kennedy; children Christopher (Meredith) Kennedy of Dublin, Matthew (Malory) Kennedy of Delaware, Emma (Stephen) King of Marysville, Allison (Nick) Coyle of Hilliard, Kevin Kennedy and Laurel Kennedy of the residence.
Heidi will also be missed by her grandchildren Ella, Amelia, Hadley, Piper, Hudson, Everleigh, and Lincoln. Also surviving is brother Marc (Tammy) Hatton of Croton. Heidi attended Fellowship Bible Chapel in Lewis Center, Ohio.
The Kennedy family would like to thank our wonderful neighbors, family and friends for the gift cards, prayers, and meals provided during Heidi’s illness. This was truly a blessing to our family. A special thank you to The James Brain and Spine Hospital (Dr. Javier Gonzalez and staff) for their compassionate care during Heidi’s illness, as well as the staff of Ohio Health Hospice.

Visitation for Heidi will be Wednesday April 18, 2018 from 5 to 8 pm at Rutherford Funeral Home at Powell, 450 W. Olentangy Street, Powell, Ohio 43065, where Heidi’s service will be held on April 19, 2018 at 10:00 am, with Steve Mitchell officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 W Broad Street Galloway, Ohio 43119.
