Obituary for Helen Blanton Helen Louise Blanton, age 96, was born on December 17, 1921 in Carmi, Illinois. She passed away at Redbanks Nursing Home, Henderson, KY under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. Helen worked at Aimsbrooke factory in Carmi, IL for 25 years, then Gamco and Whirlpool for 13 years before retiring to be the caregiver of her husband.

She loved her dog Charlie. Helen lived a healthy life and was an avid bowler to the age of 86. She was the babysitter of many grandchildren and attended Bennett Memorial Methodist Church.

Helen was preceded in death by her spouse of 51 years, Charles Blanton; daughter, Martha Christine Blanton; two brothers; and two sisters. Helen is survived by her daughter, Winnie Louise Conner and her husband, Eugene Conner; three grandchildren, Sieglinde Williams, (Paul Claspell), Melinda Luntsford and her husband Lee Luntsford, and Misty Fleming; four great grandchildren, Corey Williams, Maxwell Baker, Thomas Fleming, and Malia Baker; one great grandchild Keighan Williams; nieces and nephews. Graveside service to be in Carmi, IL at a later date.
