Obituary for Helen Gioia Cooper At the age of 90, Helen Gioia Cooper, loving mother of four to Pamela (Fred), Tripper (Jodi), Bobby (Neeta) and Gina (Howard), passed away peacefully on April 30, 2018. Nicknamed Memo by her 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, she loved to spend time with her family, play golf and bridge. She proudly served the Akron, OH and Stuart, FL communities including Hibiscus, Akron Chamber Ballet, Akron Children’s Hospital, and Head Start.

She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 18, 1928 to the late Joseph and Rose Gioia. She will be missed greatly by her friends and family. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. WEDNESDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd.
