Helen J.. (Wilburn) Thomas, 76, wife of George Washington Thomas, III, of Reading, PA died on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Hershey Medical Center. Born on January 12, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late James and Jane (Kissel) Wilburn.

She was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship, Reading, PA where she was a member of the choir. She had worked at Western Hospital, Baltimore, MD, was an Operating Room Technician at Phoenixville Hospital, and an Admissions Clerk at Pottstown Hospital for many years. She never missed her children or grandchildren’s birthdays.

She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Surviving in addition to her husband of 49 years are: Son, Steve husband of Debbie Thomas; Daughter, Tammy wife of Scott Reed; Daughter, Lori Long; Son, Tim Thomas. Sister, Velma Singer 8 Grandchildren.

1 Great-grandchild. Preceded in death by: Son, George Washington Thomas, IV; Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service at Grace Bible Fellowship Church, 1128 Hampden Blvd, Reading, PA 19604 on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 10am with Pastor Randall Grossman officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, East Coventry.

A visitation will be held Thursday morning from 9am to 10am in the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Grace Bible Fellowship Church. Condolences may be given at www.
