Helen Lorraine Cox October 24, 1930 – December 30, 2018 Helen Lorraine Cox, 88, of Milan, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline, surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be Friday, January 4, 2019, from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline. Burial will be Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Crane Cemetery in Lomax, IL.

Those wishing to attend can meet at Crane Cemetery at 11 a.m. Saturday. Memorials may be made to the Animal Aid Humane Society in Moline or the Kawasaki Disease Foundation. Helen was born October 24, 1930 in Macomb, IL, the daughter of Willard & Sylvia lvia (Elwel) Purdy.

She married Glenn Cox on May 29, 1948 in Burlington, IA. After Helen retired from from Sandy’s Hamburger Drive Inn and Whitey’s Ice Cream Parlor she graduated from Blackhawk College with high honors at the age of 55 years old. Born: October 24, 1930 Death: December 30, 2018 Helen leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Glenn Cox, Milan, with whom she celebrated 70 1/2 years of marriage; their three sons, Ronnie R. Cox, Moline, Gary L. Cox (Patty), Milan, and David G. Cox (Alice), Moline; their daughter, Sandy L. DePron and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
