Dawiec (nee Nacky), age 92, of Niles / Morton Grove, beloved wife of the late Steven J. Dawiec; loving mother of Diane Loos, Stephanie Cline, the late Steven Dawiec Jr., and Mary Dahm; cherished grandmother of John and Steven Loos, Kelly (Lauren Hamm) and Krisha Cline, Daniel (Allyson) Dahm, Matthew, Benjamin, Zachary and Jacob Dawiec; adoring aunt of many; preceded in death by her five sisters and many sister- and brother-in-law’s (last of her generation in the family). Helen is also survived by longtime friends Bill Cornelius, Dolores Tedesco, Germaine Hubick, Geri Les, Liz Filipo, Mary C., “Coop”, and Theresa Klinger. Helen was an active member of St. John Brebeuf Parish for over fifty years, a devoted member of the Catholic Women’s Club (St. Theresa Circle), an angelic voice within the SJB choir, and a past member of the Ladies Niles Lions Club.

In her younger years, Helen worked at various companies as a key-punch operator. Once retired, she became an avid golfer, was active with the Niles Senior Center, and enjoyed taking in the sights while travelling the world with her dearest friends. Helen felt truly blessed as a volunteer for the Advocate Lutheran General Hospital Service League, where her time was spent bringing comfort and smiles to the children in pediatrics.

She touched countless lives and will forever be missed. Visitation Saturday March 16, 2019 9:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Skaja Terrace Funeral Home 7812 N. Milwaukee Ave. Niles, IL.
