Helen Virginia Siratt Berrier passed from this life on Monday, June 11, 2018, in her 94th year. Helen was born March 9, 1924 in Grandview, Texas to her parents, Wilburn O. Siratt and Mattie Sue Smith Siratt. She lived in Grandview her entire life other than for a few months when she attended college in Denton.

On January 21, 1950, Helen married Clennie Walter “Dub” Berrier from Maypearl, Texas. They married at the parsonage of The First Methodist Church. Helen was a lifetime member of the First Methodist Church of Grandview and at the time of her death, the oldest member.

Helen served her church in many ways including Methodist Women Mary Martha Group. Helen worked in the home and made it a beautiful place for her husband and daughters. She has many friends and relatives and loved them and her church and community.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 49 years, Clennie Walter Berrier. Helen is survived by two daughters, Lynn Lyne and husband Fred, Diann Wallace and husband Wade “Tex”. Helen’s grandchildren are Stacy Knippers, Leigh Smith and husband Blake, Rob Wallace and wife Bria.

Great grandchildren are Karli Knippers, Andie and Charlie Smith, and Sydney and Quinn Wallace. Memorials are requested for First United Methodist Church of Grandview and Grandview nursing home. Interment to follow at Grandview Cemetery where Helen will be laid to rest beside her husband.
