Serena Forrestene Wadlington Baze of Alvarado, Texas, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018. Visitation will be held Clayton Kay Vaughn Funeral Home in Alvarado (200 E. Patton Alvarado, Texas) on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., Full Gospel Tabernacle, (1010 S Pkwy Drive, I35W Alvarado, Texas) with Pastor Todd Baze officiating. Interment service will follow at Bethany Rest Cemetery, in Alvarado, Texas.

Frosty, as she was known to many, was born to Forrest and Faye Wadlington on January 25, 1944. She was a graduate of Cleburne High School. On May 2, 1962, she married the love of her life, Albert Wayne Baze, and they enjoyed over 56 beautiful years together.

Frosty was a dedicated mother and grandmother and a stay-at-home mom to hers and Wayne’s two sons, Kenneth and David. She loved spending time with her family, considering sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren the most important parts of her life. Frosty was the first poster child in Johnson County, Texas, for the March of Dimes, as she and her family were involved in the charitable walking events each year and would go door to door, asking for donations for the cause.

She also served as the secretary/treasurer for Plane Krazy, a local RC flying club. She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest Wadlington and Faye Wadlington, a sister, Wanda Faye Powers, a brother, AJ Wasson, and a daughter-in-law, Gloria Looper Baze. Survivors include her husband, Albert Wayne Baze of Alvarado; two sons, Kenneth Baze and wife Becky of Alvarado and David Baze of Alvarado; two sisters, Claudette Howard of Watauga and Anna Parker and husband David of Fort Worth; four grandchildren, Thomas Baze and wife Bri of Austin, Justin Baze and wife Stephanie of Alvarado, Kristen Holden and husband Daniel of Mansfield and Alahna Baze; two great-grandsons, Joseph Holden and Zeppelin Baze; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members & friends.
