Henry A. Hensley age 70 of Smithville, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 24, 2019 at his residence. He was born July 24, 1948 to his parents, the late Zollie Ray and Fannie Jewel Terry Hensley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 siblings, Johnnie Hensley, Cap Hensley, Barbara Ruth Griffin, Charles Hensley, Elizabeth Martin and Ray Hensley.

Henry was a retired factory worker and a Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hensley of Smithville; 3 daughters, Maggie (Reece) Tramel, Sandra Farless and Loretta (Timmy) Hendrixson all of Smithville; son, Joe Marshall of Sparta; 8 grandchildren, James Tramel, Amanda Tramel, Hope Farless, Breanna Campbell, Tiffini Hoke, Dakota Flynn and Dalton Marshall; 5 brothers, Tommy (Peggy) Hensley of Sparta, Ganies (Vicki) Hensley of Tampa, FL, David (Donna) Hensley of Monterey, Jerry (Roxie) Hensley of Sparta and Danny Hensley of Smithville; 1 sister, Carolyn Young of Cookeville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 1:PM Thursday, February 28, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro.

Mike Clayborn officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday 1:PM until 8:PM and Thursday 9:AM until the time of the service at 1:PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
