OBITUARY Herbert H. Searles Jr. October 29, 1934 – September 19, 2018 Herbert H. Searles Jr., age 83, of Manistee, Michigan passed away on Wednesday September 19, 2018. Herbert was born October 29, 1934. Herbert is survived by his sons, Scott (Sue) and Jay (Regina) Searles, Grandchildren, Michael and Victoria.

Sisters, Helen Rogers, Harriet Graham and Christine (George) Parker, brother Rod (Donna) Searles, sister-in-laws Linda Searles , Barb Searles and special friend Elaine Brown. Herbert was an avid sportsmen in fishing and hunting. He also had a passion for woodworking.

He worked and retired from General Motors after 31 years. After retiring Herbert loved to spend his winters in Arizona. Services for Herbert will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Gorsline Runciman DeWitt Chapel, at 11:00 a.m. with a one hour prior visitation.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to a veterans organization of your choice in Herbert’s name. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www. grdewitt.com for the Searles family.
