OBITUARY Celia A. Schnell June 25, 1936 – September 10, 2018 Celia Angelica Schnell, 82, St. Johns, MI, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on September 10th, 2018. Celia was born on June 25th, 1936 in Coleman, MI to the late Willard and Virginia Swan. She married James T. Schnell on September 13th, 1958.

She passed a few days shy of their 60th wedding anniversary. He survives her. She is also survived by son James (Kathleen) Schnell of Laingsburg; grandson Josh (Sarah) Schnell of Dewitt; granddaughter Kristen (Nate) Trier of Laingsburg; great grandchildren Ava and Emma Trier; sister Jane (John) Bourdeau of Au Gres; sister Judy (Al) Rueger of Freeland; brother Joe Swan, St. Ste.

Marie; brother in law Robert Harper, Saginaw; sister in law Jane York, Carrollton; and several nieces and nephews. A son, Michael Schnell and sister Jeanette Harper predeceased her. Celia and Jim lived in the Houghton Lake area for 30 years.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed baking pies and bread and going fishing up in Curtis, MI. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Haslett, MI.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday September 13th at St. Luke Lutheran Church of Haslett at 11am located at 5589 Van Atta Rd. Haslett, MI 48840. Friends and family may visit from 10am – 11am.
